LensLab Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

LensLab is built to work entirely on your device. This page explains what that means in plain terms.

What LensLab does not do

  • LensLab does not require an account, sign-in, or email address to use.
  • LensLab does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information.
  • LensLab does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
  • LensLab does not track you across apps or websites.

Camera access

LensLab uses your device's camera to power its live lens and field-of-view viewfinder. The camera feed is processed and displayed on your device only โ€” it is never uploaded, stored on a server, or shared with anyone, including us.

Data stored on your device

Shot lists, project notes, and app settings you create in LensLab are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage. This data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud backup (if you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device) โ€” LensLab has no server of its own and cannot access it.

Photos and media

If you choose to save a still from LensLab to your Photos library, that image is handled entirely through Apple's standard Photos permission โ€” LensLab does not retain a separate copy or access your photo library beyond that action.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
