Frequently asked

Is LensLab free?

Yes — LensLab is free to use, with the core simulator and planning tools available from the start.

Which devices does it support?

LensLab runs on iPhone, iOS 17 and later. iPad support is on the roadmap.

Can I actually shoot with it, or is it just a preview?

Both — LensLab's viewfinder is a real mobile camera, so you can plan the shot and shoot it in the same app, with Log and zebra active while you record.

Does it have presets for different types of shoots?

Yes — pick a preset for the kind of shoot you're doing (interview, run & gun, establishing shot, product, vlog) and LensLab sets the focal length, aspect ratio and exposure tools to match.

Does LensLab work with any camera or lens?

The simulator models field of view and aspect ratio for common sensor formats and focal lengths, so you can plan with almost any combination before you're on set — no specific camera brand required.
